Job Title: Warehouse Associate: Forklift Operator/Shipper/Receiver

Starting Wage: $18/hr.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm (until probationary period ends- 90 days)
After probationary period has ended- 4 day flex week. 11 hr. shifts + overtime opportunities on Friday evenings.

Job Responsibilities Include:

1. Loading and Unloading trailers in different temperature controlled environments
2. Operating a Raymond Reach, and counter balance electric and propane forklift
3. Assist Warehouse Manager Preparing and scheduling shipments
4. Picking orders and taking inventory of product using RF scanner and barcoding system
5. Accurate loading and unloading of deliveries using different types of unloading equipment
6. Ensure shipments contain proper documentation and if multiple items per shipment, documentation is all present and correct.
7. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas- moving goods packed on pallets around the storage facility
8. Sort and distribute incoming shipments using process identified by Warehouse Manager
9. Safety, Sanitation, Security: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment
10. Working on a team consisting of a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse lead-hand and Warehouse Associate.
11. Communicating with drivers to ensure they understand shipment and have all necessary paperwork
12. Required to work on their feet all day, working long hours and must be strong enough to lift boxes for full shifts

Qualifications and Competencies for Position:
• Must have experience working in a temperature controlled warehouse environment (i.e. a warehouse with multiple temperature control settings/ specific product placement)
• Must have a clear criminal background check
• Must be able to pass a drug test and comply with random drug testing
• Must have experience using both counter balance electric and propane forklifts as well as Raymond reach forklift- **Must have a valid and up-to-date forklift certification
• Must have experience in a shipping and receiving office
• Must have experience using RF scanners and barcoding processes to inventory/pick product
• Must have experience loading and unloading trailers in a fast pace environment
• Must have experience breaking down skids into smaller shipments
• Knowledge of filling out Bills of Lading
• Knowledge on safe packing methods
• Must have neat, legible hand writing
• Must have a high degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Must be able to work well in a team
• Must be able to have a committed mode of transportation to and from work- Valid driver’s license
• Lifting/moving up to 50lbs. may be required
• Must have high school diploma
